WHAT ARE AMERICAN ODDS?

American odds are common in the US and Canada and are shown in the format -150, -110, +120, +250, etc. Favourites are listed with a minus (-) sign and the number indicates how much you must bet to profit $100. Underdogs are listed with a plus (+) sign and the number indicates how much you will profit for every $100 bet.

For example:

• If the odds are -150, you need to wager $150 in order to profit $100.
• If the odds are +130 and you wagered $100, you would win $130.
